accommodation comprises a double bedroom with an en-suite shower and hand
basin and a twin bedroom with en-suite bath and hand basin. The first
floor living area has a cosy lounge with coal effect open fire, a
well-equipped kitchen and separate dining room. The w.c. is also located
at this level.
Its bright, pretty rooms
have superb views across the town to Swaledale, the picturesque Culloden
Tower and the River Swale, and having the Norman Castle as its garden
wall, it is steeped in Richmond’s historic past.
There is a lawned
private garden to the rear where you can relax amongst trees, flowers and
birdsong. From the elevated patio with garden furniture there are superb
views to compliment the tranquility.
Basing your holiday in
this cottage will give you access to a multitude of outdoor activities in
the beautiful and historic Yorkshire Dales National Park.
There is also in
Richmond an excellent indoor pool and wet-suite, Norman castle, Green
Howard Museum, Georgian Theatre and Museum, pubs and many restaurants
offering international and local cuisine. Herriot and
Bronte country are
nearby.
Richmond is within easy
reach of main transport routes to nearby major towns and cities in the
area e.g. York, Newcastle and Darlington, and to the international
airports of Teesside and Newcastle upon Tyne.
